He pointed out that in the real estate business (or sales in general), you need to be tough skinned and be able to deal with the “no’s” because you will get far more no’s that yeses,
The phrase that has always stuck with me is “every no is one step closer to a yes” so when I get off the phone with someone who has turned down my offer for a property, Ijust smile and say “I am glad I got another no out of the way… a yes is aournd the corner.
